The Letter of Intent, which is to be included with the application, must explicitly state the applicant's field of interest and career goals. In addition, the applicant must furnish Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores (Verbal, Quantitative, and Analytical sections). Applications submitted by February 1 will normally be acted on by March 15.
- Each application must be approved by the review committee of the specialization to which the prospective graduate student is applying.
- Students should not obtain all three academic degrees (BS, MS, PhD) from BYU.
Acceptance Criteria
- Applications must be complete and available in the department files prior to February 1 in order for students to be considered for graduate study, financial aid, and teaching and research assistantships. - Students must begin their graduate program in the Fall Semester, (Summer for Physical Education - Pedagogy), unless prior approval of the Graduate Coordinator is obtained.
- Students will be assigned to either regular degree seeking or provisional status, depending upon the evaluation of material submitted in the application.
